Open mindedness

Do we, as people, understand what it is to be self-sacrificial? The idea of becoming someone geater or somthing valueable is a society covers the hman eyes with greed, selfishness, and pride. Anyone expects another person to undestand his/her point of view, when all along we do not try to understand others. The way we are taught to survive in this world is to protect our selves; the world tells us "the Survival of the Fittest".

Our mindsets do not end in thinking individually but it has become the very core of the developed countries. We say "All men are equal." but what does it mean to truly equal? The current approach that we have taken hinders the hearts of men. We have to learn how to accept other cultures and revealing the truth. "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28 states the great commition. God specificly gives orders to spread the gospell by his way not ours. We know perfectly well that we must embrace cultures and allow other cultures to embrace ours, but we close the door. Can people truly become one? Can we truly love eachother without selfichness? That is what is left in our hands.

Missionaries?

Time and time again gates have been opened to the Christian faith. Starting from the time of discovery all-the-way to the present Christianity moved alongside the movement in economy and the development in society. Is there a pattern in this unnatural phenomenon? Is there a reason why western culture is portrayed in a culture containing Christianity?
The question above has great relevance in learning today's culture. As Christianity first started to spread in the Roman Empire the culture of the Romans blended in with it. Starting the Roman Catholic Church the Roman Empire spread its culture along with religion. Currently the Christian church, also known as a branch of the Orthodox Church, has engraved the western culture on it's base. For over two-thousand years missionaries all over the world spread the gospel with this culture, leaving it up to the new believers to deal with the change.
Also Christianity has opened the front gates of newly discovered countries, allowing stronger nations to walk in and forcefully confiscate the land that the people bear. Although it is not the missionaries' intention to destroy an existing culture, by revealing a tribe or clan to the world, the newly discovered land becomes the perfect target to counties wanting land. Thus this leads to destruction of a race or tribe. Christian missionaries should be more cautious in revealing cultures to the world and should be aware that the culture that they may be entering may be the only culture that is the closest to reality.

Culture? Faith?

people live in a world where information that is given is up to their own beliefs. The fact is that nothing really is true in all these ideas. Because the world has turned into one big culture men and women tend to think his/her own way is the right way. Most developed countries believe in equal individual rights and the freedom of speech. This also leads to having the freedom to believe. By enforcing laws on such occasions people have come to think of themselves as a benevolent dictator. The rules are made by one individual and if other do not keep that rule..... Straight to court. Many similarities lie in all different cultures around the world. Back in history scientist believe that people all come from on root, and all people lived together. Thus naturally all races carry similar traits in culture. One of the greatest common components of all culture is spiritual beliefs. All cultures have some sort of belief and faith. But the culture does not necessarily affect faith. It is in our human nature to search for a purpose. It is in the human spirit to go beyond what the eye is able to see. Although the methods that people try to search for God may be different the truth is they are all searching for him. Even the self-professed 'Atheists' are trying to search for the truth in themselves. Thus faith is a great component in a man's life, but culture not necessarily affects faith as much as one's free will. There is one way one truth and one light. Like the Sawi we are all filled with the heart to take revenge, but we have one savior who saves us; Christ.
